Your Mission

We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our Treasury and Accounting close processes, while assisting with key Sales Tax functions that allow us to stay compliant while we expand our business.

Schedule

• Full-time in-office position
• Monday – Friday from 9a-6p OR 8:30a-5:30p

Pay based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Tax: Responsible for performing monthly sales tax reconciliations and preparing and filing sales and use tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations and deadlines. This role will reconcile discrepancies between sales tax reports and accounting records, maintain accurate supporting documentation for filings and audits, and assist with state notices and inquiries.
• Treasury: Assist with daily bank reconciliations, postings, and reports under management supervision.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Accounting Close: Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timeliness and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Assist the VP of Finance with preparing U.S. GAAP financial statements.
• Ad Hoc Support: Provide analysis and reporting as needed across departments.
• Team Collaboration: Cross-train with Finance team members and assist as needed for overall team success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Accounting Principles: Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
• Sales Tax Experience (a plus): Experience with sales tax filings, reconciliations, and assisting with state notices and inquiries is considered a plus, but is not required.
• Prioritization: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify financial issues and provide actionable solutions.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments.
